⁸ The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination, hateful and exceedingly offensive to the Lord, but the prayer of the upright is His delight!^(A)

⁹ The way of the wicked is an abomination, extremely disgusting and shamefully vile to the Lord, but He loves him who pursues righteousness (moral and spiritual rectitude in every area and relation).

¹⁰ There is severe discipline for him who forsakes God’s way; and he who hates reproof will die [physically, morally, and spiritually].
